Manage Site Settings: ConnectWise Integration
The ConnectWise tab allows administrators to configure integration between QwikSell and ConnectWise Manage.
This integration synchronizes quotes, opportunities, products, and statuses, ensuring both systems remain consistent and up to date.
Accessing ConnectWise Settings
- Navigate to Administration from the main menu.
- Select Manage Site Settings.
- Click the ConnectWise tab at the top of the screen.
This section manages the API credentials, environment information, and status mappings that define how QwikSell communicates with ConnectWise.
Integration Configuration Fields
Base API Path
Defines the base URL QwikSell uses to connect to your ConnectWise Manage environment.
Example:
https://na.myconnectwise.net
Tip: This path is specific to your ConnectWise region or environment (e.g., North America, EU, or AU).
Public Key / Private Key
These keys are required for secure API communication between QwikSell and ConnectWise.
- Public Key: Used for authentication requests.
- Private Key: Paired with the Public Key to securely transmit data.
Security Note: Treat these keys like passwords — only system administrators should have access.
CW Member ID
Specifies the ConnectWise user account under which automated actions (such as quote updates) are performed.
- Example: 427
Default Status ID
Defines which ConnectWise opportunity status will be applied by default when new quotes are created in QwikSell.
Environment Name
Indicates the environment name for your ConnectWise integration (e.g., your company’s CW instance name).
- Example: nnetworks
Integrator Token
A secure token that authorizes QwikSell’s connection to your ConnectWise environment.
This is generated within ConnectWise under System → Members → API Keys.
Default Product Type CW ID / Manual Product CW ID
Used to link product categories in QwikSell to ConnectWise product types.
- Default Product Type CW ID: The standard product type for automatically synced products.
- Manual Product CW ID: Used for manually created products not tied to an existing CW catalog entry.
Status Mappings
Status mappings ensure that quotes in QwikSell correspond to the correct opportunity statuses in ConnectWise.
When a user selects a ConnectWise (CW) status in QwikSell, the system automatically aligns it to the proper QwikSell quote status behind the scenes.
Tip: These mappings ensure that when a quote changes status in QwikSell, it automatically updates in ConnectWise with the appropriate opportunity stage.
Default Statuses
When a quote changes state automatically in QwikSell (for example, when it’s signed or declined), these are the corresponding ConnectWise statuses used.
Pro Tip: Keeping these mappings consistent ensures accurate reporting in both systems and reduces double entry for your sales team.
Saving Integration Settings
After entering or modifying your integration credentials or status mappings, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
All synchronization changes will take effect immediately for new quotes and opportunity updates.
Best Practices
- Test your integration after setup to confirm QwikSell and ConnectWise are properly linked.
- Review status mappings quarterly to ensure alignment with your ConnectWise opportunity workflow.
- Limit administrative access to this page to prevent unauthorized configuration changes.
